Grow Room Supervisor

Job Description Summary:

Oasis Biotech is looking for a Grow Room Supervisor with the right skill set to join our team. The right candidate is an individual who loves to be challenged, desires to master new skills, and who will go above and beyond their responsibilities for the sake of their team.

The Grow Room Supervisor will work as part of a team to support a large indoor vertical farm in the Las Vegas area. The Grow Room Supervisor will work closely with the Head Grower and Director of Operations to oversee and manage all aspects of production in a large-scale, multiple grow room operation. The Grow Room Supervisor will assist in daily operations as well as planning, execution, and management of the vertical farm. This position will additionally support the founders in any business tasks necessary.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot equipment failures and facilitate a rapid return to functionality
  • Generate corrective actions using root cause analysis and future preventive means
  • Assist in operational scheduling and administrative duties
  • Oversee and verify preventive maintenance and sanitation activities
  • Evaluate plant health and train staff on signs of nutrient, lighting, other environmental factors
  • Evaluate system health and train staff on the function of components as appropriate
  • Maintain all necessary documentation and certification for GAP or GFSI programs
  • Take full responsibility of grow room and report findings to head grower
  • Create, Maintain, and develop production SOPs, records, and procedures
  • Verify process control sensors via handheld, calibrated device or other standards
  • Meet, maintain, and drive budget and KPIs primarily by avoiding overtime and resource waste
  • Assist head grower with microbiological and other forms of verification testing
  • Help build and continue to refine a culture of respect, hard work, and success

Qualifications

  • Minimum of two (2) years managing/supervising personnel ideally in manufacturing operations
  • Knowledge of SNHD and OSHA regulations
  • Ability to stay focused, remain calm under pressure, and always treat subordinates and others with respect
  • Proficient with Google Docs and/or Microsoft Office products
  • Ability to anticipate problems, plan, troubleshoot, and problem solve
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks at a time
  • Able and interested in learning to continuously improve processes and products
  • Food and/or agriculture experience is a plus

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time, hourly, non-exempt position.
